What sets you apart from your competitors?

We don't do "teambuilding" in the way the term is generally used. That is, we don't play games, use fictional tasks or give you cookie-cutter solutions. We take your real business challenges and help the team overcome them with a combination of training and follow-up coaching of the team members, manager and human resources personnel lasting weeks to more than a year.

What else does the company do?

We also:

  • Teach mini-courses on group communication and meeting facilitation,
  • Facilitate special meetings such as retreats, and
  • Train clients' in-house trainers to apply our program across their enterprises cost-effectively.

What do you mean by a "true" team?

There are several parts of the definition, but the key one is this: each team member believes and acts as if his or her personal success is tied to each teammate's success.

Please see the Benefits page.

Are true teams always better?

No. So the first part of the SuddenTeams Program is an assessment that determines whether a true team would work in your situation.

Would you really turn down work?

It seems hard to believe, but there are good reasons for us to turn work down if we don't feel teaming is the right way for a client to go. For one, we don't want to set ourselves up for failure. Word of mouth is our best advertising, and we don't get any if a team fails for reasons within our control. Along those lines, if we deal with you honestly, we hope you will tell other people interested in teaming about us, whether or not we end up providing you with a program.

On the moral level, if we waste our time trying to create a team where it won't work, it hurts our mission to spread "...the benefits of true teaming as widely as possible."

Finally, because of our "no-net-cost guarantee," we would set ourselves up for financial failure if we took on clients we weren't sure we could help.

Do you provide references?

Our program provides such a competitive advantage, we agree by contract to protect our clients' identities. So instead, we offer a money-back guarantee on SuddenTeams training and free services that you let prospects try us out with no obligation.

Why do you prefer to work onsite instead of having the team meet elsewhere?

Training in the realistic environment of the team's workplace—rather than the artificial one of a hotel, for example—helps the team develop the priorities it must to succeed. Of course, if you don't have a suitable room on-site, we're happy to use whatever location you prefer.
