Mission & Values

TeamTrainers' mission is "To improve people's lives by spreading the benefits of true teaming as widely as possible." We have seen first-hand the positive impact teaming has on individuals and their organizations. Based on this, the company was founded to provide work that is fulfilling and beneficial to society by reducing suffering.

TeamTrainers' values are based in Zen Buddhism, specifically on a modern interpretation of a Zen-based code of honor from medieval Japan:

• Courtesy—We show respect and caring in all interactions.
• Honesty—We openly admit our mistakes and limitations.
• Scholarship—We constantly improve our knowledge and skills.
• Selflessness—We give of ourselves to our communities.
• Survival—As long as we do not violate the other five values, we must be profitable if we are to achieve our mission.

The company exemplifies the "Selflessness" attribute by donating 3% of our gross revenues to tax-exempt charities. Also, the company allows free use of the company's materials—including the flagship SuddenTeams® Program—in volunteer work with nonprofit organization teams by employees and consultants.
